Product & Testing Compliance Engineer
AZEK Exteriors – Wilmington, OH. Salary range : $81,500-$98,500 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. 15–20% travel to third-party testing facilities, industry conferences, field site visits, and code-related hearings.
Job Summary
Product and Testing Compliance Engineer, reporting to the Code Compliance Supervisor, oversees and conducts material testing of internal and competitive products, engages in new product development, and collaborates with third-party testing facilities to establish and maintain product certifications.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to product development of current and future products, including third-party testing, installation, and code-related questions; may include writing installation instructions and evaluating new and existing products for code compliance.
- Conducts research on testing requirements, code requirements, and product development.
- Manages assigned projects and special-interest initiatives.
- Leads additional personnel and multi-functional teams on a project-by-project basis.
- Generates clear and concise test data and reports on findings.
Qualifications
Engineering degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering; related experience or training in construction or product development is a plus.At least two (2) years of experience in a similar position.SolidWorks CAD or similar proficiency.In-depth knowledge of construction framing techniques and building codes (a plus).Strong computer skills : Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.Excellent problem-solving abilities and mathematical aptitude.Mechanical and analytical aptitude in test methodology and construction techniques.Ability to read architectural blueprints.Proven planning, executing, and managing projects.Working knowledge of powered hand tools and basic hand and layout tools used in construction.Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment such as universal mechanical test frames, load cells, environmental conditioning chambers, and scales.Precise and articulate written and oral communication; ability to speak clearly and persuasively in various settings and present to groups.Self-directed, motivated, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, 24 / 7 manufacturing environment.Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate business needs.Compensation & Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $81,500 in our lowest market up to $98,500 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable.
