Role Description :
The HVAC Service Technician installs, repairs, and maintains heating and air condition systems in residential and commercial buildings. The HVAC Service Technician routinely works directly with dispatch personnel and other team leads to ensure customer satisfaction while meeting department and company goals. The HVAC Service Technician often communicates directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure accurate communication of job / project status and requirements.

Responsibilities :
Installs new HVAC units in residential and commercial buildings.Designs, makes, and installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC systems.Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate correctly.Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing HVAC units.Install replacement parts on existing HVAC units.Maintains the inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.Complies with company and industry safety standards.Maintains communication with vendors and factory personnel concerning warranty issues, products, premature failure, and other issues as they apply to products and equipment sold and serviced by the HVAC Service Department.Reviews work orders, invoices, and time reports for accuracy.Cleaning, organizing, and tracking inventory for HVAC service vehicles and HVAC shop.Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.Cleaning, adjusting, and aiding in repairing systems and performing warranty services.Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.Self-motivated and able to work with little guidance.Performs other related duties as assigned.Physical Requirements :
Physically able to work on HVAC units.Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on the time of year.Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more at a time.Requirements :
High school diploma, a GED, or a suitable equivalentFive or more years of mechanical experienceValid drivers licenseVocational / technical school training or apprenticeship requiredHVAC Journeyman License or years of work HVAC experienceSkills Needed to Win :
