We’re seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer / Technician to join our client's team for an off-shift (2nd or 3rd shift) . In this hands-on role, you’ll troubleshoot, program, and optimize advanced automation systems — including PLCs, robotics, and vision equipment — that keep our production lines running smoothly. Manufacturing Controls Engineer / Technician (Off-Shift)
Join our client's innovative manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Controls Engineer / Technician and help keep our automated production systems running at peak performance. In this hands-on role, you’ll design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize cutting-edge automation equipment — from PLCs and robotics to vision systems and HMI interfaces. You’ll be the go-to problem solver on your shift, ensuring that our manufacturing operations are efficient, reliable, and future-ready.
What You’ll Do
Maintain and enhance automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, robotics, HMI, vision, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
Quickly diagnose automation or control issues and implement lasting solutions to minimize downtime.
Support implementation of new automation projects, upgrades, and process improvements.
Use root cause analysis and PFMEA to identify risks and prevent recurring issues.
Provide on-shift coaching and hands-on automation training to production and maintenance teams.
Perform and enforce Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all automation activities meet safety standards.
Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to improve production performance and system uptime.
