About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Duration : 26 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Medical-Surgical or Orthopedic experience preferred.

License : Active state nursing license required.

Certifications : BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Must-Have : Experience in management of dysrhythmias, Oxygen Protocol Management, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care / management, isolation precautions, electronic charting (Epic), and rapid response team activation required.

Description :

Cross posting after booking is not allowed and is not permitted to be worked on site.

Any call-offs or additional time off may result in a cancellation.

Candidates are expected to float to similar units or care locations as necessary.

Ratios are typically 1 : 6-7.

Weekend work is required every other weekend.

Travelers may be assigned to a storm team or hurricane team.

They may also be required to report during catastrophic events or disasters.

There is no call requirement for this position.

Candidates must be comfortable floating across units based on their skill set and census demands.

Management of drips, central line care / management, and blood products administration experience is preferred.

Candidates must complete required modules prior to the start of the assignment.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

No time off is permitted during the first week of the assignment.

Two references from a manager or supervisor within the past year are highly preferred.

The candidate must be able to pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty.
