Job Description Summary The Manager of Creative Services will provide creative direction and strategic vision while overseeing the operational workflows that enhance efficiency and productivity within the Marketing Content team. This leader will manage the day-to-day creative production for the company, ensuring that Sunbelt Rentals' established brand standards are effectively incorporated into the final creative output.
Position Responsibilities : Leads and manages a mix of full-time associates, contractors, and agencies in delivering scalable creative solutions that align with brand standards.
Oversees the design and copy development of materials that fulfill the objectives of the organization across multiple mediums, channels, and content types.
Collaborates with functional marketing leaders and key stakeholders to ensure consistency in brand identity and frameworks from the creative concept through project completion.
Directs agency resources, printers, and retouchers, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to brand guidelines.
Continuously seeks ways to improve scalability, increase efficiencies, and enhance productivity within the creative department.
Works with Project Managers to assign work to internal and agency creative teams, manages agency hours, assesses creative requests, and translates business needs to creative direction.
Manages deadlines for marketing projects to ensure that the creative production team(s) are adequately resourced to provide what is needed to advance the development of marketing campaigns.
Works closely with agency partners to coordinate Statements of Work (SOWs), change orders, and estimates.
Oversees invoice approvals and the setup of relevant new vendor accounts.
Accountable for creative vendor selection and management, operationalizing creative production workflows, and governing creative development.
Clearly communicates creative concepts and final designs to cross-functional teams such as Marketing, UX, and Internal Communications to enhance awareness of our creative capabilities.
Requirements : Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of experience in developing brand and creative programs within a brand consultancy / agency or an internal brand and creative department; including 5-7 years of supervising and leading an internal team or outsourced creative agency partner.
Proven experience in operationalizing creative production through processes and procedures that improve efficiency while ensuring high-quality output.
Advanced expertise in graphic design concepts, the latest trends in design industry and knowledge of design software and production techniques to enable engaging content.
High business acumen with ability to translate business objectives, as well as incorporate customer research, into creative solutions.
Demonstrated understanding of cohesive brand messaging with effective communication skills to provide strong point of view to evaluate creative and provide actionable feedback.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate and influence C-level executive leadership.
Ability to manage cross-functional relationships and collaborate within the Marketing Organization.
Resilient, detail-oriented and visionary but able to deliver in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high work volume and short lead times.
Proficiency in design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, digital asset management and workflow platforms.
Physical Demands : Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and / or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and / or night and weekend work.
