job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOriginate, underwrite, and manage a portfolio of high-quality loans (commercial, consumer, or mortgage). Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, acting as a trusted financial advisor. Evaluate creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral. Collaborate with credit analysts, processors, and underwriters to ensure efficient loan processing and closing. Ensure loans comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Lead and mentor junior loan officers by providing training, guidance, and support to help them meet their goals. Stay informed on market trends, lending products, interest rates, and regulatory changes. Participate in community and networking events to enhance the bank’s visibility and generate new lending opportunities. Provide high-level service and solutions tailored to individual borrower needs. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5–7 years of lending experience, with a proven track record of loan production and portfolio management. Strong understanding of credit analysis, loan structuring, and risk assessment. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Strong leadership abilities and experience mentoring or leading junior staff. Proficiency in lending software and Microsoft Office Suite. NMLS license (required for mortgage lending roles). Working Conditions : Primarily office-based with regular travel for client meetings, site visits, and community involvement. Occasional evening or weekend work for events or client needs. Compensation : Competitive base salary plus commission / bonus opportunities.
