We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of roadway construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. This role involves leading project teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
Responsibilities include customer relations, contract execution, and project planning while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies. The Project Manager will also manage branch operations, oversee the critical path of projects, and ensure optimal resource allocation and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute all projects safely and in compliance with safety policies.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with scope, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and other resources.
- Oversee project permits, plans, and drawings.
- Develop and manage employee schedules with accurate time reporting.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget while optimizing cash flow.
- Monitor project risks, timelines, and cost variances.
- Manage branch operations, including equipment management and DOT compliance.
- Make decisions regarding hiring, termination, promotions, and employee status changes.
- Mentor and develop project personnel to strengthen team performance.
- Communicate project status, directions, and solutions to customers and stakeholders.
- Provide regular forecasts of revenue, margins, costs, and milestones.
- Maintain complete project documentation, including close-out reports.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, resolving issues and fostering positive relationships.

High school diploma or equivalent (required); bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of management experience, ideally in traffic control or construction.Strong understanding of job costing, variance analysis, and “bid-to-actual” results.Ability to efficiently schedule resources and project revenue / costs.Knowledge of branch operations, including union and labor relations (where applicable).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ability to learn ERP systems.Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.Involvement in trade associations, state DOT coalitions, or similar industry groups (preferred).Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and pass background and drug screenings.Equal Opportunity Employer
