Overview

Senior User Interface Designer — Falls Church, VA. Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) seeks a highly skilled and creative UI designer to lead the design and implementation of modern, user-friendly, and standardized interfaces across mobile applications and websites. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining a cohesive design system that enhances usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces for mobile and web applications.
• Collaboratively grow, mature, and maintain the centralized UI design system and component library to ensure consistency across all products.
• Collaborate with UX designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions.
• Define and enforce UI standards, best practices, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG AA, Section 508 compliance).
• Conduct design reviews and provide guidance to ensure adherence to established UI principles.
• Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the user-facing designs.
• Create mockups and high-fidelity visual designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to a culture of design excellence throughout the organization.
• Become an active member of the organization’s UI / UX Community of Practice.
• Other duties as assigned.
