Pink Zebra Moving is redefining the moving experience by delivering smiles, not just boxes. Our goal is to disrupt the outdated, often dreaded, local moving industry by creating a fun, seamless, and remarkable service. We’re now bringing the same magic to Kansas City this fall.
Duties
- Perform all daily Branch Manager duties outlined within the Pink Zebra Moving Operations Manual.
- Interview prospective team members weekly and maintain a roster of “on call” movers at all times.
- Onboard, train, and provide ongoing support to new and existing team members.
- Perform site visits and truck inspections daily.
- Cultivate, nurture, and promote a culture that is focused on providing every customer and prospective customer with a one-of-a-kind moving experience.
- Develop and execute unique, and often individualized, customer experience campaigns.
- Build and improve relationships with team members, customers, key suppliers, and the community.
- Review company practices to ensure clients maximum satisfaction from each moving experience.
- Educate and inform clients about the company’s mission, products, and services.
- Identify potential opportunities and inform the sales team to follow up.
- Attend to client complaints and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and recommend ways of improving client satisfaction.
- Seek out and attend events that will aid in driving brand awareness.
- Oversee customer relationship management systems.
- Perform daily lead farming activities.
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will bring a proven track record of operational leadership, team development, and local market knowledge. Candidates should possess the following :
Required Experience :
3+ years of experience in operations management, logistics, franchise, or moving services preferred.Demonstrated success in leading teams of 5+ employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.Strong background in sales pipeline management, CRM systems, and meeting revenue targets.Proven ability to grow a service-based business through local marketing, networking, and customer relationship building.Experience managing fleet operations, vehicle compliance, or logistics scheduling a plus.Preferred Local Knowledge :
Familiarity with Kansas City neighborhoods (e.g., Brookside, Plaza, Waldo, North KC, Johnson County) and surrounding suburbs.Ability to recruit, engage, and retain talent.Awareness of seasonal moving patterns (e.g., apartment turnovers, college schedules, event logistics).Skills & Attributes :
Strong leadership presence with a passion for people development.High emotional intelligence and customer service mindset.Ability to problem-solve on the fly and make data-driven decisions.Tech-savvy; comfortable using CRM systems, scheduling apps, and collaboration tools.Entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to building a top-performing branch.High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred but not required.Job Type : Full-time
