As a Hospice CNA You will :
Personal Care : Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioningMonitor & Report : Observe and report changes in the patient's conditionMobility : Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment useMedication Assistance : Help with self-administered medications per state regulationsEmotional Support : Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families.Light Housekeeping : Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentationTeam Participation : Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary teamBenefits may vary by employment statusQualifications
Meets the training requirements of the StateCompleted a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training 16 hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical trainingMinimum of six months experience including providing personal careAt least 18 years of ageAbility to read and follow written instructions and document care givenUnderstands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing care to the terminally illSatisfactory references from previous employersAbility to work with little direct supervisionSecure with issues of death / dyingProvides a calm manner when in a patient's homePossess and maintains current CPR certificationDemonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygieneSuccessfully completes a probationary periodThis probationary period is to ensure the aide is competent in the above qualifications and is documented by the supervisor and the employeeStrong oral and written communication skillsGood organizational skillsAbout our Line of Business
