Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Plaintiff-side Employment Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, a deep commitment to employee advocacy, and the ability to manage cases independently from intake through resolution.
Base pay range
$100,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of plaintiff-side employment litigation, including intake, case strategy, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation
- Conduct client interviews, legal research, and factual investigations
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Represent clients in mediations, depositions, court hearings, arbitrations, and trials
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide excellent client service
- Maintain organized case files and adhere to litigation deadlines
- Participate in firm meetings, case reviews, and strategy sessions
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in NY and in good standingStrong litigation experience (plaintiff-side employment law)Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skillsComfortable taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and trying casesAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines independentlyPassion for employee rights and social justicePreferred Experience
Familiarity with federal and state employment laws (Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, FEHA, CFRA, etc.)Prior experience with wage and hour class / collective actions a plusContact Details
