Overview
Sr. Technical Writer position supporting the Service Development Engineering team at Boston Scientific. This role includes responsibilities spanning New Product Introductions (NPIs), acquisition integration, sustaining changes, and strategic projects in the Capital Equipment Installation & Servicing.

Responsibilities
Service Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
- For NPIs and acquisitions, assist in the creation of the Service Bill of Material (BOM) in the Windchill PLM system.
- Assist in sustaining the Service BOM during the product lifecycle due to new parts, obsolescence, and geographic expansion.
- Ensure Service BOM accuracy by validating part numbers, revisions, and descriptions using the SAP ERP system.
- Addition and subtractions of UPNs.
- Plan, analyze, author, and process Service Device Master Record (DMR) documents such as Service Plans, Work Instructions, Service Manuals, Service Bulletins, and Training Materials through Windchill for NPIs, acquisitions, and sustaining changes.
- Ensure all change notices are documented, approved, and implemented according to company procedures and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Service Development Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Supply Chain) to ensure smooth change implementation.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing controlled documentation as needed.
- Populate material master data in SAP and run SAP material master reports.
- Collaborate with service development engineers to support documentation for any non-conformance (NCEPs) involving out-of-tolerance on field service tools.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Identify and implement improvements in document change control processes to increase efficiency.Train internal teams on change control procedures and documentation best practices.What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience (preferably in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology). Alternatively, candidates with a master’s degree should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment.Strong writing, editing, communication, and presentation skills.Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in communications, technical writing, or related field (e.g., science, health, engineering).Ability to work collaboratively on a project team and independently.Project management and time management skills.Critical thinking and adaptability to change.Ability to produce high-quality documents quickly and efficiently.Initiative-taking and ownership of documents.Aptitude to understand engineering and other technical information.Requisition ID : 615173
Salary : Minimum $69,500; Maximum $132,000. Compensation varies by location and experience, and includes core and optional benefits. Salaries are not typically at the bottom or top of the listed range.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may include overtime, shift differential, and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility). Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility).
