Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day forwarding activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. and global trade requirements.
- Manage import, export, and customs brokerage functions while maintaining close ties with carriers, agents, and customers.
- Drive profitability through budget oversight, cost optimization, and the pursuit of new revenue streams.
- Implement and enforce SOPs to standardize service levels across the branch.
- Resolve operational issues quickly to safeguard customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships across diverse sectors.
- Recruit, coach, and develop staff to sustain a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and compliance standards (OSHA, TSA, etc.).
- Partner with executive leadership on branch strategy, performance reporting, and growth plans.
Candidate Profile
Experienced leader with a record of motivating and managing teams in a logistics environment.Strong business acumen with full P&L management experience at branch or business-unit level.Skilled communicator and negotiator with strong interpersonal abilities.Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.Results-driven, with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver measurable outcomes.Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in freight forwarding with strong knowledge of import, export, and brokerage processes.At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role within logistics or transportation.Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics systems.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass TSA, drug, and background checks.Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.Job Details
