We are looking for a people-focused HR Business Partner to support our Services Division—a mobile, decentralized team delivering preventive care to pets and pet parents in communities across the country. This role partners closely with field leaders and employees, providing hands-on HR support. Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership : Partner closely with field leadership to understand business goals, workforce needs, and organizational challenges. Provide consultative support that aligns HR strategies with operational objectives.
- Employee Relations & Investigations : Lead and resolve complex employee relations issues and investigations. Provide balanced guidance that considers fairness, consistency, and risk mitigation.
- Accommodations & Workers' Compensation : Oversee and manage ADA accommodations and workers' compensation claims. Partner with employees, leaders, and external vendors to ensure timely, compliant, and compassionate resolutions.
- Employee Engagement : Lead and support initiatives that strengthen employee connection, engagement, and retention.
- HR Operations & Support : Provide daily HR support across a broad range of topics, including performance management, policy interpretation, leave management, and compliance.
- Technology & Data : Leverage HR systems and tools to support data-driven decision-making, track key metrics, and ensure accurate employee information.
- Communication & Change Management : Serve as a trusted communicator and change advocate, ensuring that company messages, initiatives, and programs are effectively shared with the field workforce.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally supporting a distributed or field-based workforceStrong background in employee relations investigations, accommodations, and workers' compensationProven ability to build trust and relationships with remote teams and leadersExperience leading employee engagement or culture initiativesStrong written and verbal communication skillsTech-savvy and comfortable working within HRIS, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office SuiteTravel up to 20%Physical Requirements
