Business Development Manager

Viridian Staffing's Client is seeking a driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to lead cannabis biomass procurement efforts in the Northeast. This position requires working on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, Monday - Friday.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm exclusively dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis and hemp industry.

This is a key opportunity to join a growing, multi-state cannabis company with aggressive expansion plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of cultivators, a deep understanding of the local market, and a passion for building long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities :

  • Identify and establish relationships with licensed cannabis cultivators.
  • Negotiate and secure biomass supply agreements that support production goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cultivators, ensuring clear communication and strong ongoing relationships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement strategy with operational needs.
  • Stay informed of market dynamics, pricing trends, and competitive activity.
  • Deliver results in line with key performance metrics tied to sourcing and relationship development.

Requirements :

  • Experience in cannabis business development, procurement, or sourcingpreferably with exposure to biomass purchasing.
  • Strong knowledge of the Massachusetts cannabis market; familiarity with New York is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining industry relationships.
  • Self-starter comfortable working in a hybrid environment with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow alongside a fast-moving organization.

    Compensation : $70,000-$130,000
