Business Data Analyst (El Segundo)

Insight Global is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join one of our Asset Management / Private Equity clients for a one year contract with likely extensions. It is required that this person work onsite to El Segundo, CA 3-4 days per week. This client is currently in the process of building two new engineering groups that will support two of the core businesses; Treasury and Business Management and Alternative Investments. These engineering teams are building products around treasury, liquidity, ALM etc. This candidate will be responsible for acting as a business analyst with a data centric mindset. Key responsibilities include :

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements.

Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical data specifications for the engineering teams.

Utilize advanced SQL queries and Python to manage, manipulate, and analyze complex data sets.

Provide insightful data analysis to support decision-making and drive business growth.

Experience with Data Visualization tools such a PowerBI or Tableau

2-5 years in a Business Analyst related role

Data Analyst experience creating complex SQL queries,

writing snippets in python for automation and scripting

Experience working in financial industry - general understanding on features of specific products, Capital Markets, basic accounting, liquidity, Fixed Income Instruments
