General Summary :

This position is responsible for patrolling in the city in an effort to deter criminal activity and to maintain order.

Physical Demands : The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stopping, walking, bending, or crouching. The employee frequently lifts light objects, occasionally lifts heavy objects, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, and distinguishes between shades of color.

Qualifications :

• 21 years of age
• Georgia POST Certification (Required)
• Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the Georgia Police officer Standards and Training Council
• Ability to meet physical & psychological demands of the position
