Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and current BLS certification for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Responsibilities Work in an acute care setting with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

Patient population includes ortho, neuro, peds, lymphedema, spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries, bariatric, ICU, and cardiac cases

Shift is primarily days (7a-7p), with weekend and holiday rotation required

May cover general inpatient, rehab, sub-acute, and outpatient clinics depending on facility needs

Use of Cerner EMR for charting

Responsibilities include treatment planning and delivery for a range of diagnoses from general medical to specialized rehab cases

Weekend coverage required, typically every Saturday or Sunday

Holiday shifts are rotated with permanent staff, covering one major and one minor holiday

Specific uniform required : polo provided by facility with khakis or black pants

Three-shift orientation provided on the floor

Experience with swallowing disorders is preferred but not required

Candidates may float to other units as first to float on weekends

Returning employees must not have been employed by related facilities in the past year

Requirements Active state or compact license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted

Minimum 2 years of OT experience required

Current BLS certification required

Copy of driver’s license must be provided for consideration

Two professional references : one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years

Cerner EMR experience preferred
