Role Overview :
The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role is hands-on in the field, coordinating multiple trades, maintaining site operations, and fostering a professional, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage daily and long-term project activities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of project goals, financial targets, schedules, and milestones.
- Oversee daily field operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations.
- Monitor construction progress, quality control, and site organization / cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate multiple trades on-site and lead trade supervisors through regular stand-up meetings.
- Apply deep knowledge of construction processes to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
- Promote a professional and respectful team environment.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent and / or Superintendent.Proven success in meeting project schedules.Strong ability to coordinate multiple trades and anticipate work needs.Excellent scheduling and people management skills.Comprehensive understanding of construction safety practices and regulations.Experience integrating safety into planning and execution of self-perform and subcontractor work.Knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices.Proficiency with project / field management software (Primavera, Procore, Autodesk, etc.), scheduling software (MS Project), and Microsoft Office.Skilled in establishing site controls and ensuring compliance across all trades.Experience with subcontractor layout, punch lists, and project closeout procedures.Ability to maintain detailed daily updates, reports, photos, and documentation in Autodesk.Benefits :
