Overview

As a Lead Engineer (SE4), specializing in Growth & Marketing Technology, you will architect and build the technical infrastructure that powers Apartment List's performance marketing and user acquisition systems. This role requires deep technical expertise across the full stack to develop sophisticated marketing technology solutions that drive measurable revenue growth. Working at the intersection of engineering and marketing, you'll directly influence how potential renters discover and interact with Apartment List's offerings across the digital landscape, ensuring our technology creates seamless pathways for people to find their ideal homes.

Pay and Base Salary

Base pay range

$154,000.00 / yr - $207,000.00 / yr

Key Responsibilities

• Create integrated marketing technology solutions that standardize pixel implementation across channels, build comprehensive attribution modeling connecting fragmented touchpoints to rental decisions, and ensure robust integration with external platforms (Google Tag Manager, AppsFlyer, GA4)
• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Go, Ruby, and frontend applications in TypeScript, React to support marketing platforms.
• Lead engineering initiatives by collaborating with marketing, analytics, and data science teams to implement machine learning models that optimize bidding strategies, audience segmentation, and user engagement.
• Coordinate with engineering to prioritize projects that align with business objectives while ensuring scalability and performance.
• Develop automation systems to streamline marketing operations, reduce manual effort, and accelerate decision-making.
