Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer

The LM Space Valley Forge Advanced Programs team has an immediate opening for a Contractor Special Access Program Security Officer supporting SAPs. In this role you will be responsible for performing multiple facets of security operations such as visitor control, document control, classification management, personnel security, investigation of security incidents, developing and delivering security briefings, self-inspections and other tasks as requested by the Security Lead / Manager. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with external suppliers and personnel. You shall perform tasks requiring discretion and general knowledge and ability while representing the security organization with general supervision. Additional responsibilities include :
- Performs in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for various classified programs with diverse customers.
- Responsible for the protection of classified information and assets; including establishing procedures for handling, storing, record keeping, and granting personnel and visitors access to the facility and including classified or sensitive information.
- Conducts Security, Education Training and Awareness (SETA), supports the investigation of security incidents and prepares reports specifying preventive action.
- Validates clearances and customer visits and provides support for classified meetings.
Basic Qualifications :
Current Top Secret clearance with an investigation with the last 5 years is required prior to start.Knowledge of program security.Occasional travel may be required.Must be available to respond after-hours and be on call.Desired Skills :
Knowledge in the application of of 32 CFR, part 117 NISPOM Rule, DoDM 5205.07.Proficiency with security tools; NISS, DISS, JADE.Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level : Top Secret.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
