Location : San Angelo State Supported Living Center – San Angelo, Texas (On-site)

Position Type : Full-Time

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Pay : $103 / hour, paid weekly

Job Overview

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a dedicated Dentist to join our clinical team at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center (SSLC) . In this role, you will provide essential dental care and treatment to residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving oral health and overall quality of life for individuals with specialized needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and preventive treatments.
• Diagnose and treat oral diseases, infections, and injuries.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident’s health and behavioral needs.
• Respond to dental emergencies and provide urgent care as necessary.
• Educate residents and staff on oral health, hygiene, and preventive care practices.
• Maintain accurate and compliant dental records in accordance with HHSC and state regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support interdisciplinary care.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and ethical standards in all clinical operations.
