Position Summary
Provide Electronic support within Facilities and Maintenance to ensure that production machines and equipment are functioning at their optimum levels. Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating control systems on production equipment. Also specializing in PLC troubleshooting and repair.

- Install, repair and maintain electro-mechanical production machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, monitor, and adjust AC / DC equipment and circuits.
- Program AC / DC drives.
- Diagnose and correct PLC problems
- Become proficient with the Work Order Management system
- Understand and follow company Lockout / Tagout procedure
- Observe safety procedures and conduct; use equipment and materials properly
- Subscribe to and practice 5S principles, procedures, and guidelines, JIT, and process improvement
- Work a full-time shift schedule with regular attendance.
- Calibration of footage counters, RPM meters and FPM meters.
- Troubleshoot electronic equipment to determine cause and remedy any malfunction.
- Test production equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair inkjet printers
- Provide support to the maintenance technicians as needed.
- Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions / behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 5 years’ experience working with electronic control systemsDemonstrated hands-on experience working with mechanical and electrical equipment and componentsStrong computer skills are required.Experience in PLC ladder logic control systems. (Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs a plus)Wire and Cable experience is a plusStrong verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills to exchange of information with co-workers, supervisors, suppliers, and / or vendorsMust be able to read and interpret blueprints, mechanic and electrical schematicsGood understanding of AC / DC circuitsMust possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.Ability to conduct diagnostic tests, overhaul and rebuild machines by utilizing a variety of test equipment and hand toolsAbility to work independently with minimal direction, and as a team memberReading comprehension skills to understand written specifications, instructions and procedures in EnglishGood math skills and above average mechanical aptitude necessaryAbility to troubleshoot and work on live equipment.Physical Demand
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of timeFrequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching and climbing ladders during entire shiftMust be able to lift, carry, maneuver and move up to 50 lbs. of objects in the facilityRequired to talk, hear and demonstrate manual hand and finger dexterityEye-hand coordination to handle, machinery, materials, parts and working with hand toolsRegular attendance and ability to work in excess of a 40-hour week if necessaryOther Duties
