The IT Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance to practices promoting production health while also managing projects and programs to improve business service availability. In a leadership capacity, they provide mentoring, develop their talent, and ensure the team is aligned to expectations.

Responsibilities : Ideation Phase

  • Works with IT Project and Core teams to understand production / team impact, ensuring an effective monitoring strategy while minimizing any loss of business service availability.
  • Overall accountability for ensuring that impact to Enterprise Processes functions are included in work ideation and planning activities.
  • Determine sourcing strategy and delivery engagement point.
  • Work with the Architecture team to ensure compliance to any new technologies or 3rd party solutions being introduced.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of Enterprise processes and artifacts and identify opportunities for improvement

Project Delivery Phase

  • Oversee execution of critical goals, objectives, and initiatives for Enterprise process teams and functions.
  • Ensure establishment and maintenance of enterprise-level processes and supporting documentation.
  • Ensures compliance to all 3rd party engagement practices, including NDA, MSA, and SOW review and approval.
  • Manage project-related financials owned by the manager, ensuring budgeting and invoicing processes are followed.

    • Pilot / Rollout / Post-Production Phases

  • Communicate critical information regarding enterprise process outcomes, projects, and changes to stakeholders, leadership, and the IT org
  • Engage on system issues by identifying, escalating, and driving quick resolution.
  • Promote re-occurrence of business impacting issues.
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is created and updated as required.

    • Requirements :

  • Knowledge around Enterprise IT monitoring processes like synthetic monitoring and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Knowledge of monitoring based tools.
