Mid-Level Gift Officer, KUT / KUTX, Moody College of Communication

The Mid-Level Gift Officer is responsible for managing a portfolio of current and prospective mid-level members (defined as $750-$2,499), including cultivation, solicitation, and strategy as well as stewardship and data analysis.
Purpose
To expand donor capacity, engagement, and philanthropy, the Mid-Level Gift Officer creates opportunities for donors and prospects to become engaged with KUT and KUTX's mission and to learn about organizational programs that align with their giving interests.
Responsibilities
- Manages a tiered portfolio of 400-700 current and prospective mid-level members with planned touch points and timely solicitations, with a premium placed on donor retention and increased giving.
- Develop relationships with prospective and current mid-level members using multiple channels, including phone, email, personal mail, Zoom and face-to-face meetings, when appropriate, while also engaging donors through consistent stewardship and active cultivation to increase member support, achieve revenue goals and enhance the member experience.
Donor Strategy and Stewardship
Maintain appropriate electronic documentation on a timely basis, including tracking and contact reports.Provide regular reports on fundraising results and prospect management to KUT / KUTX management.Participate in writing and developing donor communications including solicitations, stewardship, donor proposals, grant applications, etc.Proactively participate in development strategies, membership initiatives, and regular team meetings.Monitor fundraising trends (especially public media giving trends) and attend webinars, educational sessions on fundraising, or conferences to identify effective new fundraising approaches and solutions.General
Attend and participate in all relevant KUT / KUTX events.Work closely and proactively with colleagues across the station, of all different backgrounds and skills. Must have demonstrated ability to work well within a team.Other related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeMinimum of three years experience in fundraising / development in the annual fund, mid-level, or major gift areas with at least one year of experience managing a donor portfolio.Experience in establishing strategies for identifying, qualifying, and cultivating prospective donors.Proven ability to prioritize, manage and organize multiple projects that consistently meet deadlines and budget.Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure and effectively manage details of several concurrent projects.Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Overall excellent written, verbal (telephone and in-person) and interpersonal communication skills.Demonstrated strong computer skills.Preferred Qualifications
More than required years of experience.Working knowledge of Allegiance Software, a public broadcasting membership management software and VIP, the UT alumni / donor database system.Extensive experience writing fundraising proposals including proposals to individuals, foundations and other grantors.Public broadcasting experience.Salary Range
$72,000+ Annually
Working Conditions
May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Moving equipment, supplies, furniture in the course of day-to-day operations. Occasional travel may be required. Work hours may vary to include additional working hours during peak periods. This position may require working on evenings, some weekends and holidays. Final candidate will be required to pass a background check prior to starting employment.
