Shipping / Warehouse Manager Job Summary :
- Plans, directs, and coordinates Shipping, warehouse, and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.
Shipping / Warehouse Manager Essential Duties and / or Responsibilities :
Supervises the activities of workers engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, and inventory management for identified materials.Interviews, selects, and trains warehouse and shipping personnel.Plans, develops, or implements departmental safety and security programs and activities.Prepares or directs preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.Establishes departmental guidance to ensure accurate / on-time delivery for required material shipmentsCommunicates with operations and retail location team members to coordinate shipping, receiving, and warehouse activitiesReviews demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and establish related departmental capacities.Inspects physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements as requiredSchedules or monitors air or ground pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.Responds to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.Develops and documents standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.Tracks and traces goods while they are enroute to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.Shipping / Warehouse Manager Experience and / or Education :
Education : Bachelor's degree preferred but not requiredExperience : 3-5 years of related experience as warehouse and or distribution managerShipping / Warehouse Manager Skills and / or Abilities :
