Overview
The Akron, OH office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an associate attorney to join its Civil Litigation Practice.
The ideal candidate will have eight or more (8+) years of complex commercial litigation experience representing companies in a variety of federal and state matters, including financial fraud; securities; breach of contract; breach of fiduciary duties; partnership disputes; shareholder disputes; loan disputes; construction litigation; and UCC litigation. Candidates must have experience in all facets of litigation including preparing and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, handling complex discovery, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and preparing cases for trial. Admission to the Ohio Bar is required.
About the Practice
Lewis Brisbois' Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice comprises attorneys who regularly handle state and federal litigation, including appeals and regulatory proceedings for local, national and international clients, as well as federal, state and local agencies. They are licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, state and federal trial and appellate courts, and administrative and regulatory bodies. Clients include Fortune 500 corporations, national and international corporations, small and local businesses, and individuals and entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries, including manufacturers of commercial and consumer products; banking, insurance, and investment companies; providers of medical services and medical devices; technology and telecommunications companies; national and international construction contractors and project managers; and businesses and individuals involved in sports and entertainment, among others.
