This position involves a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain equipment and infrastructure related to the collection, transportation, storage, and treatment of water and wastewater systems.

What You’ll be Doing :

• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and facilities
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and building upkeep
• Respond to emergency callouts and participate in on-call rotation
• Operate District vehicles and transport tools, equipment, and personnel
• Maintain accurate records, tools, and safety standards
• Support other teams and perform general duties as needed

Work Schedule

The schedule is generally 4-days, 10-hours between the hours of 6 : 30 a.m. and 5 : 00 p.m. onsite. The work schedule will vary depending on weather conditions, projects, events, programs, meetings, and staffing levels, and will include some evening, early morning, weekend, and overtime hours including a 24-hour on-call rotation. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside-weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, traffic, toxic, or caustic chemicals.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors during all seasons of the year and is performed in potentially hazardous environments : i.e. confined spaces, electrical, infectious, and mechanical hazards.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
