Systems Administrator III at American Credit Acceptance
Essential Functions
- Provision, installation, and maintenance of Windows servers, M365, Manage Engine, Rubrik, Zoom, GoAnywhere, and VM environment.
- Management of Active Directory environment and participation in technical research to enable continuous innovation.
- Assist in development, planning, and execution of upgrades and changes.
- Provide Tier II / III support as required for various associates.
- Perform daily system monitoring, reviews, and verification of hardware, server resources, and key processes; review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Coordinate and communicate with impacted associates; ensure highest standard of customer service.
- Assist with resource planning and prioritization of support requests for the Systems Administrator Team.
- Day-to-day oversight and follow-up of tasks performed by other System Administrators.
- Coaching and mentoring of junior System Administrators; repair and recover from hardware or software failures.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform routine audits of systems and software and verify integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes.
- Analyze system logs to identify potential issues; apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Understand system security requirements and implementations; troubleshoot reported problems and drive issues to resolution.
- Document and configure systems following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and follow a structured change management / deployment methodology.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience with Microsoft domain networks.5+ years of experience with server hardware design and best practices.Experience with Active Directory (GPO, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services), Microsoft 365, Zoom, VMware, Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022, Manage Engine, Windows 10 / 11.Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and desktops.Experience issuing, revoking, and renewing digital certificates.Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation of repetitive tasks.Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude and ability to quickly assess problems and find workable solutions.Proven ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with IT / Ops, Customer Support, Engineering, QA, and other stakeholders.Cloud environment management experience in Azure or AWS a plus.Familiar with ITIL standard practices and procedures a plus.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).Effective time management skills – ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Self-driven with ability to quickly learn technology and eager to stretch their skills.Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Ability to lift and carry 40+ lbs. Ability to pull and terminate Cat 5e / 6 cabling.
Travel
This position will require up to 10% travel.
