job_description.job_card.job_descriptionLead relationships with external collaborators and pharma partners to drive projects from inception to completion. Lead and manage research projects with pharma partners that address fundamental questions using our state-of-the-art platform technology in diagnostic and therapeutic areas in oncology. Ensure high data quality and the requisite scientific background and knowledge to navigate the complexity of experimental design and interpretation. Build a continually expanding knowledge base in cancer biology, biomarker discovery and development. Work in a collaborative and project-oriented manner with interdisciplinary teams composed of laboratory scientists, data scientists and bioinfomaticians as well as commercial and marketing personnel, and ensure that members contribute to their highest potential. Ability to manage cross-functional projects and timelines. Support, nurture, and help close sales opportunities. Role requires 10% travel. M.D. / Ph.D. or Ph.D. in Oncology, Cancer Biology, Epigenetics and Genomics or related field with 6+ years’ relevant experience in positions of increasing responsibilities with 3-6 years of in industry. Experience in leading and working in teams with a history of successful project management. Experience in the field of oncology and its underlying biology, along with genomics and epigenomics expertise, as demonstrated by publications, involving impactful tools or data sets as well as presentations at international conferences. Understanding existing large data sets and modern tools in cancer genomics for processing and analysis of primary data. Proficiency in programming languages such as R or python is a plus. Experience in biomarker development or molecular diagnostics in industry is strongly preferred. Experience with experimental design in population based clinical studies. An understanding of experimental limitations of next generation sequencing experiments as applied broadly in cancer. Excellent interpersonal, teaming, written and spoken communication skills. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors, including job-relevant skills, expertise, and experience; applicable education or training; a demonstrated track record of exceeding expectations; and geographic location. The typical salary range for this position is estimated at $126,000–$164,000 for candidates based in the San Francisco or San Diego metro areas. Exceptions to this range may occur from time to time based on the depth of technical experience and other job-relevant qualifications. - Senior Platform Applications Scientist Reports to : VP, Translational Research FLSA : Exempt Location : San Mateo / San Diego Position Summary : At ClearNote Health, we combine novel epigenomic technologies with our innovative machine learning architecture to tackle the most urgent challenges in cancer care.
- We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced scientist with similar passion to join our mission to develop next-generation non-invasive cancer diagnostics for better patient outcomes.
- As an accomplished scientist with skill in design and execution of complex multidisciplinary projects toward molecular diagnostic tests in the treatment of cancer, you will contribute to the design and management of projects that employ the company’s novel platform technologies in drug development in collaboration with pharma partners.
- The projects will enable the company to formulate clinical questions that contribute to the care of cancer patients.
