As a Top Secret UI / UX Designer for this program, you will be working in an organization that’s mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong Dev Ops practices.
You will be responsible for developing mock‑ups of intuitive interfaces. You will review user experience feedback, receive stakeholder and development team feedback and adjust accordingly. You will create and update style guides. You will work with the development teams to ensure 508 compliant designs and responsive designs based on current best practices. You will guide, mentor, and coach team members while leading projects to successful completion. You will ensure compliance with the project management methodologies and the Project Management Office processes and standards. You will research user needs as well as potential system enhancements. You will have familiarity to, or may actually : code, test, debug documents, and implement web applications using a variety of platforms. “This position is contingent upon award”.
Responsibilities
- Build mock‑ups of intuitive interfaces.
- Work across case management development teams to provide a consistent look and feel.
- Review user experience feedback and adjust accordingly.
- Work with users to understand use cases.
- Update and maintain style guides.
- Ensure 508 compliant designs and responsive designs based on current best practices.
- Oversee all visual design efforts, guide, mentor, and coach team members while leading projects to successful completion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key peers in Marketing, Branding, UX leaders, IT leaders, and others to identify and plan creative solutions.
- Manage external service resources and budgets for visual design, ensuring work is executed on time, on budget, and with quality.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and the Project Management Office processes and standards.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of application release management, outage management, and change control processes and standards.
- Define, create, communicate, and manage resource plans and other required project documentation such as style guides and provide updates as necessary.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts and prototypes of easy‑to‑navigate user interfaces (UIs) that consist of web pages with graphics, icons, and color schemes that are visually appealing.
- Research user needs as well as potential system enhancements and have familiarity to code, test, debug documents, and implement web applications using a variety of platforms.
- Plan, recruit, and facilitate the usability testing of a system. Analyze and synthesize the results of usability testing to provide recommendations for change to a system.

Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.Minimum of 1 year of experience.Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or other related field (in absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements).Create visual concepts using computer software to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate.Develop the overall layout and production design for the target audience.Keep up‑to‑date with design trends, techniques, and technologies.Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality designs.Analyze large‑scale enterprise systems for usability.Experience with responsive design.Experience writing production‑quality HTML, CSS and JavaScript.Design visual aesthetics of digital products, including layout, typography, color schemes, and graphic elements (i.e. wireframes).Ensure visual consistency and coherence across different screens and components of the user interface.Ensure designs are accessible to users with disabilities by following accessibility guidelines and best practices.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align design decisions with business goals and technical feasibility.Embrace an iterative design process by continuously refining and improving designs based on feedback, research findings, and usability testing results.Clearance Required

The base salary range for this position is $90k to $100k annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
