Construction Site Superintendent
The Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all daily operations at the job site. This position requires expertise in coordinating, scheduling, and directing construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, federal safety compliance, and timelines. The role involves continuous communication and coordination with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Responsibilities include :
- Serve as the primary point of contact and represent the company professionally to all stakeholders.
- Direct and manage site activities to maintain compliance with contracts, specifications, client requirements, EM 385-1-1 standards, OSHA 30 regulations, and applicable building codes.
- Develop and maintain the project execution approach, monitoring schedules and milestones closely.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities in alignment with the project schedule and subcontract agreements.
- Manage project scope, including monitoring deliverables, RFIs, and change orders.
- Ensure all project activities meet high standards of quality, safety, and timeliness.
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager to provide updates and promptly address any issues.
- Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Review and validate project documentation and ensure accurate reporting and timely submission.
- Respond to and resolve site-related issues, emergencies, or unexpected delays swiftly and effectively.
Essential Skills include :
Demonstrated ability to run and drive a job site independently.Proficiency in reading / interpreting drawings, specifications, and schedules (P6).Familiarity with OSHA standards and EM-385 safety standards.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe / Bluebeam.Strong accountability and ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and daily site issues.Experience in HVAC, fire protection, or federal / military projects.Safety certifications in fall protection, heavy equipment, or site safety.Four-year construction-related degree (valued but not required).Client references, especially from NAVFAC or DLA.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00 / hr.

This is a fully onsite position in San Diego, CA.
