Assistant Category Manager - Adult Beverage

Overview

This role serves the needs of the Category Manager team members, communicating daily with Operations, and serving as a key liaison for Merchandising to the store teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

1. Review, consolidate, and execute daily store communications, including weekly promotions. 2. Consolidates and develops weekly display planners. 3. Tracks new item distributions and works with distributors on issues. 4. Tracks price changes on a weekly basis. 5. Supports all Lowes Foods stores with questions surrounding ads, merchandising supplies and product issues and needs. 6. Supports strategic development and implementation of DSD programs at W. Lee Flowers. 7. Tracks out of stocks daily and reports to the merchant team and vendor community. 8. Supports merchant team platforms and tools; dunnhumby, RVS, Lytho, PA 3.0, and Power BI. 9. Support category managers with light analytics and reporting. 10. Assists with JBP meeting planning and preparation. 11. Assist with category review preparation. 12. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Possess the knowledge and skills associated with an Associates degree in Business or possess equivalent work experience. Should possess excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills, and have strong problem solving skills. Must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of retail experience with a proven track record of superior guest service. Should possess 3-5 years of beverage alcohol industry experience in retail or wholesale. Candidate should be skilled in multi-tasking, planning, and organizational skills. Computer literacy beyond basic skills is required, including a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.
