Job Description

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Unarmed Patrols in Towson, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support a positive experience for everyone at the location. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel and / or authorities.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain an orderly environment within the healthcare setting.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies, drills, and / or evacuations as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as part of daily responsibilities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
