The Senior HR Generalist will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including employee relations, administering the ADP HRIS, onboarding / offboarding, administering leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Supports supervisory responsibilities by coaching other positions, handling discipline and termination in accordance with company policy, and managing highly confidential employee and company records.
- Administers and executes human resource programs including compensation, benefits, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, engagement, training and development.
- Responds to inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; refers complex matters to appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and reviews policies to ensure compliance.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's HR and talent strategy, including current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Serves as primary liaison to ADP, coordinating payroll, access, and escalations.
- Provides guidance to management on complex and sensitive issues; may administer routine tasks in delicate circumstances (e.g., accommodations, investigations, terminations).
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Supports talent acquisition activities, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with managers to define required skills and competencies.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is highly desired.A minimum of three years of human resource management experience is preferred.SHRM-CP, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SPHR highly desired.Certifications / Licenses
