Director of Accounting
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company local to Malvern, PA. We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Director of Accounting to lead financial operations across multiple entities. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The position will report directly to executive leadership and collaborate with ownership across various business units.
Location : Malvern, PA (Onsite for first 90120 days, then primarily remote)
Employment Type : Full-Time, 6-Month Contract
Compensation :
- Base Salary : $100,000$130,000 (based on experience)
- Discretionary Bonus : ~10%
Key Responsibilities
Oversee accounting and financial reporting across all entities, ensuring accurate consolidation and visibilityMaintain general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and manage monthly financial reporting (Balance Sheet, Income Statement)Lead the development and management of annual budgets and report on budget-to-actual variancesPrepare and maintain cash flow forecastsManage month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliationsEnsure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standardsReconcile and validate vendor purchase orders, contract billing, and quoted amountsReview and analyze vendor billing and monitor invoices on hold or pending creditOversee SG&A expense aggregation and vendor payment cyclesManage asset capitalization, depreciation tracking, and accounting for asset salesHandle sales tax and tax law compliance, including preparation of tax returnsSupervise 23 accounting staff and participate in hiring a full-time accounting assistantQualifications
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA preferred but not requiredExperience in public / private accounting blend is idealIndustry experience in construction, equipment rental, or related fields is a plusTechnical Skills :
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Procore, TimerscanPreferred knowledge of RENTALMAN, WYNEE, INTEMPO softwareStrong Excel and financial modeling skillsPersonal Attributes :
Ability to operate independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills to work with executive leadership and ownershipComfortable working with strong personalities in a construction-oriented environmentHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsWork Environment
