About the job :

Advantra is partnering with a Seed-stage legal tech startup in New York or Raleigh / Durham to hire a Founding Product Engineer to build and scale the core product across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

About the role :

You will design, implement, and maintain product features across the stack. You will work closely with founders and engineers to ship updates, improve UX, optimize performance, and influence the product roadmap.

Responsibilities :

• Ship frontend and backend features and updates across the full stack.
• Develop frontend components using Next.js, React, and Tailwind.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Manage infrastructure and data systems using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Postgres.
• Optimize web performance and improve frontend user experience.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and customers to refine features and workflows.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Take full ownership of shipped features, ensuring reliability and scalability.
