What You'll Be Doing
Supervise shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate records, inventory control, and timely order fulfillmentDevelop and improve processes related to shipping, receiving, quality, and rework to enhance efficiency and meet performance standardsCoordinate inbound and outbound carrier schedules to meet delivery timelinesEnsure compliance with customer shipping requirementsRecommend improvements for space utilization and workflowPrepare reports and communicate performance metrics to team and managementSupport and enforce safety, security, and facility maintenance programsMaintain and approve accurate payroll recordsUtilize warehouse management systems to optimize labor and meet operational goalsRecommend and implement system improvementsEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards; participate in audits and serve as an ISO team memberHire, train, evaluate, and develop team membersProvide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedbackAdvise management on personnel and operational issues requiring escalationBuild strong relationships with peers, senior managers, and vendorsOperate within budgetary constraints and assist in budget planning and reconciliationDevelop and maintain departmental standards and proceduresContribute to tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the teamWhat You Will Bring
Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environmentExperience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) preferredFamiliarity with shipping / receiving processes and carrier coordinationStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to analyze data and generate performance reportsProblem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvementThe starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $65,000 and $80,000 / yr. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as : training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
