Sr. Maintenance Technician

The Senior Maintenance Technician will lead and support maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on PCBA manufacturing equipment (e.g., exposure units, screen printers, AOI, etching, drilling, plating lines, lamination presses, and SMT machines).
• Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose PLCs, HMIs, motor controllers, sensors, and drives; make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Maintain and update maintenance logs, technical documentation, and equipment history records utilizing a Computerized Maintenance and Management System (CMMS).
• Mentor junior technicians; provide technical guidance and on-the-job training. May act as a back-up to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to support process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards, including ESD and environmental compliance.
• Manage spare parts inventory and communicate procurement needs.
• Support equipment installation, upgrades, and relocations as required.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• May troubleshoot or repair facilities systems as needed. (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)

Competencies :

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however, may coach and mentor other Technicians. May act as a back-up to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager.

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, use fine hand motor skills / dexterity, use repetitive motions, and lift and / or move up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
