KRCG 13 has an immediate opening for a Senior Newscast Producer to oversee news content for fairness, balance, and accuracy. The ideal candidate will produce daily newscasts and oversee the production of newscasts and special programming. You will work closely with producers and reporters on daily selection and coverage. As a newsroom leader, the Senior Newscast Producer will lead by example.

Responsibilities include :

Oversee daily newscasts to serve local communities by sharing relevant information to alert, protect, and empower audiences

Supervise producers and reporters; review scripts and provide feedback to enhance storytelling

Manage the newsroom and handle breaking news to grow audiences

Collaborate with News Directors and station managers on special segments

Plan and oversee continuity into upcoming newscasts

Skills required :

Proven ability to create compelling stories across platforms

Ability to perform under pressure, manage breaking news, and meet deadlines

Problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented mindset

Strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics

Excellent people skills, coaching, and motivation

Understanding of digital traffic driving

Minimum 2 years experience in television news production or reporting

Degree in Journalism or related field preferred

Strong writing skills and results-oriented

Valid driver’s license with a clean record
