Obelix Restaurant is searching for a sous chef to join our team. This role is primarily for an AM management position, focusing on lunch / brunch / prep execution. If you've been used to working nights and are looking for a change in schedule, this could be an ideal position for you. 2+ years experience in management working in a high speed, fast paced environment is preferred however any candidate could be considered.
Obélix, located in River North, provides a French bistro experience through the lens of two French-American brothers who grew up in Chicago. Obélix has been named a finalist for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation. It received top honors upon opening from Chicago Magazine for Best New Restaurant in 2022.
Our menu is rooted in classical french technique, while paying homage to the global flavors that inspire us as a team. The ideal candidate for this role is intrinsically motivated, creative, disciplined, organized, a patient leader, and passionate about hospitality.
