Job Description

The Microbiologist / Molecular Biologist will support research and development initiatives by performing microbial analysis across various projects. This role will contribute to method development, execute laboratory assays, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality data generation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological analyses on a variety of microbial species to support internal research studies.
• Develop and refine protocols for Colony Forming Unit (CFU) quantitation and other microbiological techniques.
• Perform viability and stability assays following established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Process diverse sample types for microbial recovery and cultivation across multiple media types.
• Prepare, analyze, and communicate experimental data and findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in general lab upkeep, including supply inventory, equipment calibration, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization as well as with external partners as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chesterfield, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00 / hr.
