OVERVIEW
Kid Power Inc. seeks a highly motivated and creative Communications & Media Intern with an
interest in nonprofit storytelling, marketing, and youth development. This internship offers a
hands-on opportunity to build professional skills in communications while supporting a
mission-driven organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content Creation : Write and edit engaging content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and other external communications.
- Media Management : Support marketing / media storage by organizing, labeling, and
maintaining photo / video archives.
Program Engagement : Attend Kid Power program sites weekly to capture stories, interviews, and photos for digital communications.Slack & Internal Communications : Use Slack and other tools to help coordinate communications across staff and programs.Creative Projects : Assist with graphic design (using Canva or similar tools) and propose innovative approaches to engage stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONS
Strong research, writing, and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.Familiarity with social media platforms and current digital trends.Experience with Slack or similar collaboration tools.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.Familiarity with Canva or other design tools is a plus.
