OVERVIEW

Kid Power Inc. seeks a highly motivated and creative Communications & Media Intern with an

interest in nonprofit storytelling, marketing, and youth development. This internship offers a

hands-on opportunity to build professional skills in communications while supporting a

mission-driven organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Content Creation : Write and edit engaging content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and other external communications.
  • Media Management : Support marketing / media storage by organizing, labeling, and

maintaining photo / video archives.

  • Program Engagement : Attend Kid Power program sites weekly to capture stories, interviews, and photos for digital communications.
  • Slack & Internal Communications : Use Slack and other tools to help coordinate communications across staff and programs.
  • Creative Projects : Assist with graphic design (using Canva or similar tools) and propose innovative approaches to engage stakeholders.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and current digital trends.
  • Experience with Slack or similar collaboration tools.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with Canva or other design tools is a plus.
