We are seeking a locum emergency medicine physician to provide coverage in Northwestern Alabama. The position requires an active AL license and board certification in Emergency Medicine, with shifts available around the clock at a Level III Trauma Center handling an annual volume of 50k patients. Competitive pay, malpractice insurance, and travel accommodations are provided.

SMART is actively recruiting for a locum emergency medicine physician to provide coverage for a client of ours in Northwestern Alabama. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed and ongoing during permanent recruitment.

Qualifications :

  • Active AL License preferred
  • BC / BE in Emergency Medicine

Job Summary :

  • Shift times : 6a-4p; 10a-8p; 4p-2a; 8p-6a
  • Annual volume : 50k
  • Avg. 2.5 patients per hour
  • ED handles admissions
  • Level III Trauma Center
  • EMR : Meditech
