Our client is a distinguished real estate organization known for their deep commitment to ethical leadership, hard work, community involvement, and hands-on management. As their company continues to grow, they are searching for a highly motivated and detail-oriented accountant to become part of their experienced property accounting team.
In this dynamic role, you will engage in a diverse range of responsibilities, blending accounting and bookkeeping tasks with lease management, tenant relationship coordination, and property management support.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounting :
- Analyze lease details, preparing and posting monthly billings for assigned properties.
- Process incoming payments and prepare bank deposits.
- Manage vendor and utility invoices, ensuring timely payments.
- Maintain accurate accounting records with our General Ledger System.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile bank and other financial accounts.
- Organize and file invoices systematically for easy access.
- Calculate management fees and generate monthly accounts receivable reports.
- Maintain comprehensive rent schedules and track leases.
- Monitor tenant compliance with lease agreements and collaborate on annual reconciliations.
- Participate in budgeting processes and conduct variance analysis as needed.
- Oversee vendor reporting, including 1099 preparation, and contribute to financial reporting and analysis.
Property Management :
Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant inquiries and concerns.Coordinate property maintenance needs and emergency repairs by liaising with building engineers and senior property managers.Undertake other responsibilities and projects aligned with the company’s ongoing growth.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Demonstrated ability to function both independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Property accounting experience is a strong plus.A positive, detail-oriented, and organized approach to all tasks.To apply, please reach out directly to William Kroppe III on LinkedIn.
