Position : QA Lead Tech
Status : Exempt
Reports to : QA Supervisor
Summary : Quality Assurance Lead Technician is responsible for ensuring that all the products are compliant with customer specifications and requirements, enforcing following company's policies and procedures and improving the products and processes.
Principle responsibilities and duties include :
Must be present in the workplace and demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule as determined by QC Supervisor. Must be flexible to work at either of our three facilities.
- Help train and lead departmental employees to insure optimum competency, commitment, and performance.
- This position has the authority to hold product that does not conform to customer agreements, finished product specifications, or legal requirements.
- Should be resourceful to be able to review various documentation to provide answers and directions to QC techs.
- This person should be dependable, self-directed and have the initiative to get assigned tasks done.
- Performs quality inspections of all production lines.
- Maintains, keeps up to date and calibrates the QC equipment.
- Verifies the accuracy of the nutritional, label, ingredient statement information including proofreading.
- Ensures all the products are manufactured according to customer's specification and following company's policies and procedures.
- Ensures that all GMP and Safety standards are in compliance.
- Verifies each step of the manufacturing process related to the production of dietary supplements as it related to 21cfr.111.103 & 111.105.
- Performs titration of cleaning chemicals.
- Collects, enters and analyses data.
- Performs environmental swabs, collects product samples, fills out the transmittal forms according to customer's specification / requirement, coordinates the laboratory samples pick-ups.
- Helps in gathering information for investigation process of internal and customer's complaints / issues.
- Ensures all nonconforming material is properly identified, placed in designated location with proper disposition.
- Helps with preparation of training material.
- Oversees the review and maintenance of the BRC System.
- Performs all necessary product testing as per quality protocol and customer's specification.
- Manages retain samples program.
- Maintains records as per customer's specification and company's procedures.
- Supports and exhibits the Henry Broch & Company Values.
- Completes time sensitive supervisor tasks as needed during their absence.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Skills & Competencies :
Must take and pass Henry Broch reading comprehension test.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to speak and write in English. Bilingual is a plus but not required.Food manufacturing experience is a plus.High School diplomaStrong attention to detail, strong analytical skills, strategic and critical thinking skills, problem solving, trouble shooting ability.Results oriented and ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Proficiency in root cause analysis.Make balanced, fact-based, relevant recommendations & decisions, avoiding emotionally driven decision making.Focus on critical tasks and ideas which require specific, detailed attention without getting distracted by irrelevant considerations.Respect the requirements and deadlines of others (both internal and external constituents) to drive decision making.Team work, diversity, meeting our core values, judgement, multitasking and ability to make quick decisions for the safety of the team / company.This position will support multiple locations and requires flexibility to support multiple production shifts including weekends and holidays.Physical Requirements :
