job_description.job_card.job_descriptionOversees the Maintenance Training Program, ensuring compliance with company procedures and FAA regulations. Designs, develops, and administers training programs for Ascent Aviation maintenance staff. Coordinates with Maintenance and Customer teams to identify and address training needs. Creates and updates training materials, manuals, lesson plans, and course content. Supports training development through research, graphic design, and curriculum customization. Maintains training records and ensures staff are trained per internal inspection procedures. Provides individual tutoring when necessary. Develops budgets and approves expenditures. Defines objectives, structure, and staffing needs for the training department. Ensures clear communication of roles and responsibilities. Oversees employee training, orientation, and performance appraisals. Promotes a positive, team-oriented work environment. Manages personnel actions (hiring, promotion, discipline, etc.). Facilitates internal communication and regular staff discussions. Resolves work-related issues and ensures cross-functional coordination. Advises leadership on policy improvements and ensures alignment with company goals. Enhances training efficiency, productivity, and best practices through continuous improvement. Stays current on industry trends and innovations. Current valid Arizona driver’s license with clear driving record for past three years. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; excellent communication skills including excellent leadership, two-way communication, judgement, creativity, negotiation and conflict resolution skills Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions. Ten to fifteen years experience in aircraft maintenance Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management or related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training or experience. A&P License Proficiency in interpreting and applying technical data Ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities; ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Telephone, personal computer, general office machines. Multiple computer software’s such as Internal systems, Microsoft, Excel, Etc. for tracking, recording and communication. Aircraft maintenance hangar, maintenance offices, flightline. May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate. Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management. Employees are responsible for performing their duties in accordance with company policies and government regulations. These rules are written in the interest of preserving the lives and the resources entrusted to each employee, and when the rules are violated, the risk of a mishap is usually increased. Employees shall participate in safety education programs and train to recognize hazards on the job and how to report them promptly. As a condition of employment, each member of Ascent Aviation agrees to report errors, incidents, and accidents honestly. Any employee who observes an unsafe action or condition should bring it to the attention of supervisors and managers. Certain conditions may allow the employee to easily correct a condition or situation. In all cases, the employee must notify his / her supervisor of any actions taken by the employee. The first employee to observe an accident or incident should take immediate action to alert appropriate responders / supervision and to take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, or damage.

Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time.
