Office & Inventory Coordinator – McDyer Tools
Position Type : Part-Time (with opportunity to grow into Full-Time)

Position Overview
The Office & Inventory Coordinator plays a key supporting role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of McDyer Tools. This position bridges administrative support with hands-on organization of inventory, warehouse, and truck logistics. Starting as a part-time role, this position offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time operations and administrative position as responsibilities expand.
Key Responsibilities Inventory & Shop Organization
Reconcile inventory records with actual stock on hand (daily, weekly and monthly).
Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse, shop, and storage areas.
Assist in loading / unloading deliveries and maintaining proper labeling and placement of tools and equipment.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.
Track and record tool movements between trucks, shop, and customers.
Truck Organization & Support
Maintain clean, well-organized trucks, ensuring all inventory and display items are in proper condition.
Assist in periodic truck restocking and product rotation.
Help prepare truck displays for promotions, new products, and seasonal campaigns.
Administrative & Management Support
Provide general secretarial and bookkeeping assistance (filing, data entry, recordkeeping, invoice tracking).
Support management with scheduling, documentation, and customer correspondence as needed.
Prepare reports or spreadsheets to track expenses, inventory, and orders.
Assist with vendor communication and coordination of deliveries or returns.
Bookkeeping & Office Duties
Enter purchase orders, receipts, and basic accounting entries.
Reconcile receipts and invoices for accuracy.
Maintain organized paper and digital filing systems.
Assist with basic payroll or expense tracking as needed.
Shop Cleanliness & Efficiency
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace at all times.
Identify and implement small improvements that enhance workflow efficiency.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic bookkeeping or QuickBooks (or willingness to learn).
Comfortable working in both office and shop environments.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Clear communication skills and a professional demeanor.
Familiarity with tools or mechanical environments a plus (Snap-on experience ideal).
Progression Path (Part-Time → Full-Time)
Phase Hours / Focus Key Milestones Phase 1 : Onboarding (0–6 months) 10–20 hrs / weekLearn inventory system, organize truck and shop, assist with bookkeeping setup. Phase 2 : Proficiency (6–12 months) 20–30 hrs / weekIndependently manage inventory reconciliation and weekly reporting; take on more admin support. Phase 3 : Expansion (12–24 months) 35–40 hrs / weekFull-time operations support—lead shop organization, manage inventory systems, and assist directly in business operations.
