Job Summary
Budd Van Lines is looking for a Director of Fleet Safety & Compliance to lead the safety operations of our national fleet, Household Goods Experience required . This position plays a critical role in ensuring full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations, while actively supporting and improving safety initiatives for both employees and independent contractors.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage fleet safety and compliance programsAudit and manage ELD, HOS violations, CSA BASICs, and safety dataEnsure compliance with CFR 49, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and state safety regulationsMaintain driver qualification files, annual MVRs, and inspection recordsAnalyze trends and recommend corrective actions for safety improvementsSupervise Safety & Compliance team and support garage operationsProvide reports to leadership and collaborate on equipment and driver policy decisionsBe available for emergency response and on-call situationsRequirements
3–5 years of experience in fleet safety or transportation compliancePrior experience in a supervisory or leadership roleBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experienceKnowledge of DOT / FMCSA / OSHA regulationsCDL, Class A license is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsFull-time on-site availability requiredCompensation
???? Salary Range : $115,000-$130,000 per yearFinal offer will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
