CI And Training Manager
The CI and Training Manager will lead efforts to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and workforce capability within an insulating glass manufacturing facility. This role combines Lean methodologies with hands-on training programs to optimize processes such as glass cutting, spacer application, gas filling, sealing, and inspectionensuring high-performance IG units that meet energy efficiency and durability standards.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the impact of CI projects
- Champion a CI mindset across all levels of the organization
- Maintain CI project pipeline and ensure alignment with business goals
- Create SOPs and visual work instructions for forming, inspection, and packing stations
Training & Development
Conduct training needs assessments in collaboration with department leadersDesign, deliver, and evaluate training programs (technical, soft skills, compliance, onboarding)Learning Management Systems (LMS) and track training effectivenessSupport leadership development and succession planning initiativesEnsure training programs comply with industry standards and regulationsLeadership & Collaboration
Act as a change agent to foster innovation and adaptabilityCoach and mentor employees and managers on CI tools and methodologiesCollaborate with HR, Quality, Safety, and Operations to align training with strategic goalsCommunicate progress and results to senior leadershipQualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field5+ years of experience in CI, training, or organizational developmentProven track record of leading successful CI initiativesSkills & Certifications
